Welcome to the Regional Informative System for Environment and Energy for monitoring the safety, efficiency and sustainability of regional energy system.

|
Statistics on energy consumption by sectors (households, tertiary - included services, public users and commercial units - , agriculture, industry and transports) and by different energy sources. Total regional energy demand amounts to 25 Mtoe in 2007, 2.5 toe pro capite (30,000 KWh/inhabitant).

|
Regional power plants system: number, power and production by primary energy sources (water, natural gas, wastes, biogas, biomass, etc.). In 2007, about 55,000 GWh have been produced (as gross production) by an installed power of 18,000 MW, with a 25% dependency on external power supply.

Environmental impacts at regional level in terms of greenhouse gases' emissions (in tons of equivalent carbon dioxide) from energy uses (energy consumption and production). In 2007 regional CO2 emissions amount to 67 million tons (73 millions tons including the emissions related to imported electric energy), i.e. about 7 tons per inhabitant.

Dashboards check and show the degree of achievement of European targets within "Climate Action" policies in relation to the effectiveness of regional policies. The following national targets by 2020 are taken as reference: 13% GHGs' emissions reduction with respect to 2005; 17% share of energy from renewable sources in gross final energy consumption; 20% energy consumption reduction with respect to business as usual scenario.
